Born in Tokyo, she studied at the Toho Music School before entering the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris, in Gabriel Tacchino’s class. After winning two First Prizes of piano and chamber music, she was admitted to the piano third cycle. During this period, she won the First Prize of the Epinal International Piano Competition and the Second Prize of the Robert Casadesus International Competition in Cleveland. She performed as a soloist with various orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Winterhour Orchestra, the Pays de Savoie Orchestra, the Cannes Orchestra etc.

As a chamber musician, she performed along with many famous musicians such as Maxence Larrieu, Jean-Pierre Wallez, Maria Kliegel, Nobuko Imai and many others.
With her husband Jean-Jacques Balet, she makes a piano duo and they performed together in many countries, in Europe, Asia and South America.

At the same time, she spends time teaching and she taught many young pianists who are currently performing. She gave masterclasses in different countries such as China, in Pekin Central School and Japan, in Takefu Academy.

She is regularly invited as a Jury Member to different National and International Competitions.

She taught at the Geneva Music Conservatory and she is currently in charge of an educational methodology course at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva.
